Changing Jobs

I changed jobs a month ago and I am still in transition mode. I am not very enthusiastic about where I am now and the work I do. I hate to confess but I think I loved my last job too much, I miss it so much!

I may have been blinded by the magic words "we-will-sponsor-you" that was part of the package when they hired me, but honestly my heart still isn't there.
I cannot point out what specifically I do not want, it may be too many. I have not accepted my situation wholeheartedly and as of this mindset, I am not sure if I will ever get to that point. Given another option, I know I'll run to that direction.

I just received a message today, here goes: "... sometimes, when it seems your wings have suddenly and unexpectedly been clipped, maybe, just maybe, there's more to learn by staying where you are.

Maybe not.

You decide."

I say, very fitting, huh?

The fact is these are all feelings, and I've nowhere to go, right now, "feeling victim, lol!" but sacrifice.

It sucks, I know.

  1. I have been thinking too if I should move to another company.. I don't know. I think I'm not ready yet. I'm still young and It's hard to let go of your first ever job. But I still want to go outside of my comfort zone and work in a new environment. Any advice? :)

    1. People move for different reasons, sometimes, there's no choice but to move because it will be best for the family and other purposes.. other times, we just need to grow and do more with our lives... I say your heart will lead you to it. Pray more. God bless! :)

  5. I just resigned on my previous job just last March and got a new one this Nov. I base my job on many things like it has to be my passion, preferably near, etc.. but the most important of all is that I prayed for it. If you follow where God wants you to be, everything else will follow.

  7. I've been in your position. At first, I feel that I really want to go back to my previous company. However, I learned to love my current job right now. But still, I need to go.

If you feel like you are not enjoying -- and happy, I think you have to go.

  8. If there's one thing I learned about not switching jobs, it is to stop doing something if it doesn't make you happy. I may have failed to follow my own advice, but I'm executing the plan soon. :)

I hope you find the courage to change your situation soon. If it really isn't making you happy.
