That Deep-Within-Feeling #Weeklies

Week 35/52 #Weeklies

When I was about to teach my next batch of students, my partner teacher in the computer room excitedly told me that she was able to connect with Skype and found this girl from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Alright, this was in 2006 when Friendster was still in, when Skype has just started, and my high school students were still learning how to use the mouse.

I chatted with her (I forgot her name - she's got a very unique name!), but the first thing I asked was where New Mexico is??? (Yes, with three apostrophes!) She said well we're in between Texas and Arizona. I immediately blurted, you mean in the US??? She said, of course!

That was my very first exposure to "New Mexico," my friends.

Some Filipinos here in the US or even some Americans do not yet know if New Mexico is in the US, so well, it's OK. New Mexico is where it is. It is the 5th largest by area, the 36th-most populous, and the 6th-least densely populated of the 50 United States.

It is actually called the Land of Enchantment, and you'll see why it is so if you plan on extending your reach and experience the scenic beauty and rich history of the state.

Anyway, back to my story... After that chat, I forgot about New Mexico and USA.

But, my Friendster friends in the US were always posting photos of their American travel adventures. I have never left the Philippines, and so I loved looking at their pictures!

It came to a time that I did not want to look at their photos anymore because I could see myself on it!

I mean, deep within I knew someday, somebody else will be looking at my American travel adventures. Eventually, I would be sharing my own photos with the world. Sometime, I will be flying to America. But it was only a "deep-within-feeling."

I did not know until now that that deep-within-feeling matters and will continue to matter forever because for some magical series of events, in September 2007, I flew to the USA.

Do you have that deep-within-feeling too? Like, you just know that a dream has to come true?

Because, maybe, maybe we can help you?

Teach-USA is an employment facilitation agency. We help Filipino teachers from the Philippines to become licensed highly qualified teachers here in the US and help you connect to school districts here in New Mexico.

If you are a teacher and would like to do that we can help you. But, it does not mean that once you have become licensed and certified, you'll get a job. Why?

Because you still have to prove to the school districts who will interview you that you are fit to their needs and that you are what they are looking for.

The good news is that once they chose you, then you are on your way to your American dream.

I hope your "deep-within-feeling" is that deep for you to take the risk and take the plunge. In the end, it is not my feeling but yours. Mine made it happen for me. I hope it will be for you too.

God bless!
