I am amazed by how God makes all things possible, in His perfect timing!
I often would be particular in writing my plans to the point that I would want God to follow my schedule.
Yes, I begged God for permanent residency and the opportunity to go home to the Philippines. I was begging because the permanent residency approval wasn't under my control, and to go home would mean buying around $5,000 for tickets alone for the four of us, and we were not financially able to do that at all! I'd write my goals year after year, but it wouldn't happen year after year.
And then, I thought I'd change my style and stop asking God about it. Instead, I decided to be thankful every day- for He is already making my dreams come true (even if I don't see any results yet)!
One day, a green leaf fell on my hand while leisurely walking during my break. I took that as God's blessing. True enough because the very next day, we received our green cards in the mail.
Before that month ended, we received good news - I would receive a "refund of about $2,200" - from the case filed with our former agency.
A week after that, at one of our CFC community meetings, I shared how it took us 11 years to get our permanent residence finally and that we haven't been home (Philippines) for that long already!
Then, our leader excitedly told me about CheapTickets "ON SALE!" to the Philippines!
The following Monday, I browsed and found four tickets from Los Angeles to the Philippines for $1600!
It would only be for two weeks, but I thought it would suffice. But we would need to drive 10-12 hours from our place to LA, which would be a waste of another day.
The next day, I suddenly had the urge to browse the net for tickets again, and guess what I found? $600 two-way tickets for the four of us to fly from ABQ to LA and back!
The total cost of our flight? $2,200!
For the four of us from New Mexico to LA to the Philippines and back!!!
God makes all things possible in His time, ways, and purpose. He is simply outstanding. He never delays! His timing is always PERFECT!
While I had to demand God about my schedule (and it's a good thing He didn't follow it), I forgot He is the BIG GOD, and HE sees the BIG PICTURE!
While I thought He was delaying my dreams, it was for a purpose and perfect timing - in the end!
Amazing GOD!
