Food for Thoughts for Aspiring J1 Teachers

1. Know your agency. Make sure you are satisfied with the services they offer. Wag pag dating dito nag iba na ang ihip ng hangin kesyo mas maganda at mas mura ung iba. It's a choice, and be happy with it.

2. Be humble with your co workers. Minsan may mga locals ayaw nila ang all knowing or nasasapawan sila sa abilidad. Minsan kahit alam mo ang gagawin just be humble. Take their suggestions and wag kumontra.

3. Wear your smile always. Minsan kahit medyo pagod at na miss na ang family sa pinas, smile pa rin sa work. Positive vibes always bring positive life.

4. Wag mahiyang magtanong. Pag di alam mag tanong sa co workers, agency or trusted friends. Wag solohin ang problema, it will cause depression. Yan ang kalaban dito sa America.

5. Know your priorities at purpose bakit ka pumunta dito. Set your goal every year para ganahan mag work. Remember hindi lahat nakakatapos sa 5 years. Minsan hanggang 1 year lang pinauwi na. Kaya habang nandito make the best out of it.

6. Gumala kung may pagkakataon but isipin if kaya pa ng budget. If wala tiis muna sa Walmart at Dollar Tree. Hindi naman lahat ng panahon tag gipit but spend your salary wisely.

7. Enjoy every journey natatahakin mo. Hindi lahat nabibigyan ng pagkakataon upang makawork and makagala dito sa America.

8. Be grateful sa lahat ng taong tumulong sayo.

9. Be wise in choosing your circle of friends. "Be sure everyone in your boat is rowing and not digging holes when you are not looking."

10. Always pray. Walang ibang sandata pag nandito kana. Si Lord lang ang iyong sandalan sa panahon ng iyong kahinaan.
