It all started with a WISH...

My husband Dennis and I would always fight during our first few years together. He'd always say we should go our separate ways. I allowed him to vent, but I never responded with anything but, "whatever makes you happy, I'll support you!" 

When our first and only child then, Mymy, was three years old, I told him, if I bore another child with you, I'd never let you go. 

And that year, I became pregnant with Mimoi. That was the exact time when I had already paid Php5000 (initial payment) for this agency that helps teachers work abroad. And I had to give it all up.

Around June, three months after Mimoi's first birthday, my heart was deafened by my wish for a complete family! Dennis worked as a seaman, and although we were supported financially, my great desire continued to be a family that is together. 

And the only solution I could envision was to work outside the country - where I could bring my family with me!

By September that same year, I flew to the US to teach. And a year after that, my family joined me.

Friends, wishes do come true!

And I'd never thought it would only take mine three months (and a year)!

P.S. By God's grace, Dennis and I continue to be together. This year will be our 22nd!
